Unable to change steam client interface language.
Recently switched my computer to linux mint, and after down;oading steam, my client was in english - want it in ukrainian.

Did the usual -- steam>settings>interface>language. I open the dropdown, and scroll down and click on ukrainian. I don't get the restart app prompt, and the text in the language box still says english. I tried clicking other languages, restarting steam app, restarting the laptop. yet to try reinstalling ther app.

Deleting and reinstalling steam did not help, HOWEVER

SOLVED IT. Had to turn on comp0atibility for context menu focusing at the bottom of the interface settings page. I don't know why it didn't work before, or why it doesn't detect my desktop enviroment automatically and turn that on... But if you run into this. This is what worked for me.
