Steam downloading slow
hello, steam is downloading my games/ updating my games so slowly and idk why. ive checked my internet speed and its at like 800mbs with 920 mbs of upload. I watched countless videos on why and how to fix it like going to task manger and making steam.exe high prority. ive checked to make sure nothing else is using up network its still slow only about 10mbs. idk why its so slow can someone help me? also im using lan and not wifi. sorry for my misspelling

Steam never downloads at my maximum download speed, but it usually runs at a more or less decent speed. My biggest problem is that most games, even if I update 8MB, take less time to uninstall and reinstall than to update. And my computer is pretty decent.

I have the same problem. Had it for weeks now. Tried everything i can find to fix it and nothing works. I have a half gig wifi connection and the download will start fast for a short while and then just drop off. It will stay at 50-90 mb for a little while and then just die like at 2mb speed and so a game update that i want to do that should happen in less than 30min would take over a day to download
