I say to try my settings first, test your controller, then maybe turn on that one feature I boxed in the screenshot.
When you do find a solution, it is wise to make a screenshot for yourself of your own settings and put it in a "readme" text and folder, or similar, where you can find it in the future.
You might have to mess with a mix of these settings if "prospect a and b" fails you and step carefully with possibly installing the "xBox Extended Feature Support Driver" for generic controllers (this should be last case scenario).
One time, long ago, I had to enable that Nintendo Switch Pro controller crap for my xBox One controller to work and display the xBox onscreen glyphs (X,Y,B,A,etc...) correctly.
