I'm experiencing the Error Code: -101 "Unable to connect to server. Server may be offline or you may not be connected to the internet" issue in Steam.

I've identified that this is caused by Kaspersky Internet Security. I've been using this antivirus software for years without any issues. Only now, when I completely kill the Kaspersky process, the error disappears.

I've tried adding the entire Steam folder to Kaspersky's exclusions, but this doesn't solve the problem.

The issue occurs in the Steam application regardless of which user account I'm logged into. However, Steam works perfectly fine when accessed through a web browser.

Has anyone encountered a similar issue? How can this be resolved without completely disabling the security software?
