Given that you were able to post a thread on here, I suspect you'r using the mobile app, which means your account itself has no issues. Now in regards to the steam app not starting, since you said you had to end steam tasks in the task manager then that means it's actually running, perhaps it's related to your operating system if you are using an outdated or an operating system that isn't supported i.e windows 7. if not then it could be a windows update, cache corruption or you anti virus is blocking it which is less likely. are you reinstalling using the latest version of steam? or

yes mobile app, i am using the newest windows version 24h2 and ive been running into problems with it so now im downgrading to an older version (bc steam worked fine there) using the windows recovery system. but ive now encountered the blue screen of death for some reason. im just confused too because i have never done anything wrong with the pc and it stoll does this bs

Blue screen of death is usually related to hardware failures, driver issues. Did you try googling the error code that shows when you have bsod? That should help narrow down what is causing the issue.
