Now if meant contacting VALVE themselves it be on VALVE website, not steam, which more likely not going take your feedback really, and likely tell you use Steam support ticket.
Who knows maybe they add 3rd party method where have to trust a sketchy AI company that the UK Gov want everyone to use, where have to provide face scan, or ID card to provide proof. Otherwise you're SOL, if you have no income, benefits, or any way to get approved for lowest credit card you can find in the UK.

It less I have bad credit (I don't think I do) and more that I shouldn't have to get a Credit card just to access games on Steam when I would never use i for anything else. I also need to ask them if this age verification will also not allow me to install games I already own. I'd take face scans over credit cards any day of the week.
But thanks everyone for the info!
Honestly, it was probably either this or what happened to Germany. They implemented ID requirements too, but a credit card isn't enough, so Germans just don't have access at all to a bunch of games.
Why?
Because it's not implemented.
Aqua, or Vanquis as AFAIK can be forgiving on those with bad credit score.
Capital One depending how bad, and tesco if lucky.
But yeah this is just to view "adult theme" games, not talking about GTA, Whicher, Cyperpunk, but actual porno games. And lastly you don't need to verify anything if you own the game already as it be in your library this doesn't stop you from playing the adult theme games you already bought.
By "they", I meant the German government implemented ID requirements. Valve, rather than comply, just made it so Germans can's access those games.
People not using resources available to look up easy to fond info has been a thing for the entire life of the internet and beyond.
That is truly freaking hilarious. Have an award.
The Germans WISH they had ID requirements.
