How to contact Valve
I've been trying to find the customer support email to question them about the new Credit card requirement for the UK (which I cannot provide nor should need to, everywhere else can provide anything else) and if they're looking into other forms of Verification but I can't seem to find it, the Customer Support just sends me round in circles telling me to try using the Automated steam support.

Can't believe how much of a pain in the ass this is to try and get in contact about anything jfc.

Steam don't do emails, private dms, or phone calls, they do tickets only.

Steam help page > my account > data related to my account > scroll to the bottom see contact support.

Now if meant contacting VALVE themselves it be on VALVE website, not steam, which more likely not going take your feedback really, and likely tell you use Steam support ticket.

Who knows maybe they add 3rd party method where have to trust a sketchy AI company that the UK Gov want everyone to use, where have to provide face scan, or ID card to provide proof. Otherwise you're SOL, if you have no income, benefits, or any way to get approved for lowest credit card you can find in the UK.

It less I have bad credit (I don't think I do) and more that I shouldn't have to get a Credit card just to access games on Steam when I would never use i for anything else. I also need to ask them if this age verification will also not allow me to install games I already own. I'd take face scans over credit cards any day of the week.

But thanks everyone for the info!

I think Valve agrees with you there, but your government has passed a law that forces their hand, and they don't seem to be in a hurry to implement more egregious forms of verification, like submitting your ID. That's a responsibility I don't think Valve wants to deal with.

Honestly, it was probably either this or what happened to Germany. They implemented ID requirements too, but a credit card isn't enough, so Germans just don't have access at all to a bunch of games.

German Steam implemented nothing at all. That's why Germans still complain. They WANT it implemented so they could browse those porn games and uncensored stuff. But they can't.

Why?

Because it's not implemented.

There might be one of these might be able apply for.
Aqua, or Vanquis as AFAIK can be forgiving on those with bad credit score.
Capital One depending how bad, and tesco if lucky.

But yeah this is just to view "adult theme" games, not talking about GTA, Whicher, Cyperpunk, but actual porno games. And lastly you don't need to verify anything if you own the game already as it be in your library this doesn't stop you from playing the adult theme games you already bought.

I thought that was what I said.
By "they", I meant the German government implemented ID requirements. Valve, rather than comply, just made it so Germans can's access those games.
Must be one of those rare times where valve adds or develops something that actually doesn't work.

Have we got to that put in life where we no longer use search engines to look up stuff, such as "Steam Support Contact"?

People not using resources available to look up easy to fond info has been a thing for the entire life of the internet and beyond.

No. There is no ID requirements. It's an automated process with a simple "NSFW/PORN" tag. If that's the case = no buy for Germans.

The Germans WISH they had ID requirements.
