I suggest going for a card that has reward so you get something out of it overtime.
Otherwise, keep waiting until Steam figure out what to do, because likely a last minute decision on their part, and might be in process figuring it out how to set up with doing face scan OR ID verify with 3rd party companies in the UK that the Gov want Steam, and you to use.
Seems far more likely it's get a credit card or your out of luck.
Then get one. Set it up at your bank to pay it off each month and reduce the credit limit to something sensible.
You might as well. Credit cards seem be becoming the preferred way to check peoples age.
You sound like that meme where that posh girls says
"If you're homeless, why don't you just buy a house."
US is getting hit at some point as well, and others afterwards.
Lol sort of, but if you have some form of income that high enough for their lowest tier credit card that be enough to handle all your needs, and they're basically free with no fees.
If you're on welfare, disability, or etc benefits that should be enough to count towards getting a credit card.
I suggest to OP to try checking Aqua, Capital One, Vanquis, and Tesco see if any will approve for small limi credit card.
You dont need to get one you pay for each month. Mine has no fees and a 7k limit.
does not exist......there are always fees.....at best you have a card that only has fees on the months you hold a balance.....
Interest is a completely different thing because while it's frequently charged when someone doesn't pay their bill in full, it's also usually charged on cash advances from the moment you take the money (in addition to the fee).
Debit cards usually can be issued to younger people, the exact age depends on the country.
