Yes. But only with it being on the physical product, like on the printed material the physical product came with because a picture of it is required.

You writing down a key is not proof of ownership.

If you could retrieve the key through Steam, it wouldn't be a good way to prove ownership of an account.

why not? if you have access to the account. then you don't need to prove it....

True. Could you imagine the abuse of this? People already abuse many things on steam, including regional bypassing for prices. Lazy people are always looking for a easy loophole to find.

i have +600 titles and like 2 physical games. Good luck finding which one.
And along other evidence

i get the point. Can a older gift card can be prove? if you keep it physiccally.

The proof nearest to account creation is the best.
