Hello! Someone messaged me on discord saying that an impersonator (in steam) used my account name to buy their “CS knife” worth $900, but they never received the cash. He also sent me a screenshot of purchase history, but I’ve never played CS before.

After we talked for a bit, the person apologized for reporting me and told me I should send an appeal to support@steampoweredvalve.com to explain my side. I’m not sure if this is legit or if they’re just trying to scam me.

I’ve also never tried trading before, since I only use Steam solely for buying games to play.
