Just lost my games
Steam was having issues the last couple of days. The store wouldn't load and all I could see are links with no images. Clearly something was wrong. The launcher was up to date and I couldn't find anything else wrong so I though I would just reinstall steam. However, once I downloaded steam again, it deleted the original download of it and upon further inspection, it now doesn't recognize 4 of my games. It now tells me I need to redownload these games. The thing is, I never deleted anything. Not even the steam launcher, it vanished all on its own. To add insult to injury, the store was not fixed with the new download. I need it to somehow recognize the games but am woefully unknowledgeable when it comes to computer stuff. I'm in dire need of some advice.

When you try to install a game, Steam does a pretty good job of recognizing existing game files, and only downloads anything missing.

At least that's how I've moved games from machine to machine before any of the fancy options there are now

I click install and they all start to install. None of them pop back up
They start to install, and then what happens. Are they still installing? Is there any info conveyed?
