Is it possible to install a game from a disc that requires entering a game key into the account but has already been used
Hello, I bought Call of Duty - Modern Warfare 3 at a local store.
I tried to install it, but the installer requires an internet connection and the key from the back of the manual. After entering the key, I get the message: " The product key you entered is invalid because it has already been activated on another Steam account. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 Retail (PL) product activation was not completed. "

When I try to install it normally, I get the message " An error occurred while installing AppID 0: Invalid backup path. "

Is there any way to install this game without this key, or did I simply buy a game I can't play?

I would appreciate your help.
