Steamworks Common Redistributable

I have tried to launch 4 different games and they all try to update Steamworks Common Redistributable which fails and the game won't launch. When I go to Tools and try to just update Steamworks Common Redistributable directly, it fails each time.

Just something that I can't fix and Steam will fix in time? Or is there something I can do?

Verifying a games files might do the trick.

Right click the game in your library list, select Properties, then Installed Files tab and Verify integrity of game files

Been having trouble downloading and updating games for weeks now. It's really frustrating. Other people are having the same issues.

Download steamcmd from official Valve wiki. There are instructions if you search for it too.

If that's a tool for repair, how come it's not available from within the client ?

It's not just Windows 7. People are having trouble on Windows 10 and Windows 11 as well.
