Can't upload screenshots (An error occured while uploading this content)
I don't even get the screenshot notification now, and the Recordings & Screenshots window doesn't show any screenshot at all. Trying to upload them from the only place they show, the post-game summary", but it doesn't work. It says "An error occured while uploading this content".

There's a way to fix this?

Yeaaah it's happening to me as well. Same exact issue, Windows 11, tried the Steam Beta build, it's probably an error on their side or servers or something. The gallery window is server-sided for some reason and it's been like that since the new Steam UI update.
Still happening... Thanks Steam.
I tried contacting Steam support, let's see how that goes
Word, I'll wait to see

I shared with them some evidence of the errors, and they replied this:

Pretty sad to hear. Even the beta build has the issue, it's like it's a server issue or something

I think I solved this problem by myself.
I deleted (not uninstalled) the Steam folder (C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam) except "steam.exe" and the "steamapps" folder. I opened tthe steam.exe and let it download everything again. I had to log in again but after that, I was able to see everything correctly, opening screenshots and uploading them.

Who knows what causes this, but this was my solution. I hope it helps you both.
Have a good day.

Didn't seem to work for me. Should I delete userdata as well? I figured it's optional.

I only kept “steamapps” because I have games downloaded there, I would say that you need to delete everything except for that folder and the "steam.exe".

Try it that way.
Yeah I had to delete userdata as well, seems to work now.
Thank you Eddy!

I want to try this but do I lose any presaved configurations? I'll probably make a backup folder.

Okay so for me, going to:
\Steam\userdata\[steamid]\760\

Renaming (or moving):
screenshots.vdf
screenshots.firstbackup
screenshots.backup

fixed it for me.

You can just delete them too but I wanted to make sure it wasn't going to break something.
This should allow you to keep all the screenshots you've already made.

This doesn't affect saves, config or anything else.

If you have a problematic file in your screenshots though, this may re-appear after it's finished indexing all your files, so it will be a grueling process to eliminate just that screenshot but you can wittle it down game by game if that's the case.

I only had screenshots.vdf in that folder and when I tried deleting it there was no difference. I even moved the entire folder to a backup and it still wouldnt let me upload new screenshots. If I get desperate enough I'll probably backup and delete files in the steam folder except for steamapps. And I know for a fact there is a problematic screenshot because I renamed a .jpg that wasn't actually a steam screenshot so I could upload it to my profile (an image of my marvel rivals rank up). But even after removing all the screenshots and that .vdf file, steam doesn't care.

UPDATE: So I deleted everything in the steam folder except for steamapps like someone else suggested and let it redownload what it could (after backing up the files of course) but it still gave me an error when uploading screenshots. I might just be cooked boys. I'll shoot steam support and email but wont be expecting much.

Just completely delete Steam then. Just backup your game folders elsewhere.
Maybe that's it. When I deleted everything (excepto steamapps) it fixed it for me, I haven't had any problem while uploading screenshots since almost 2 months ago
