I just updated Steam beta client, and suddenly I got this message. Now I cannot access Steam.

I restarted a couple times, and no fix yet. Some people have been like this for months...

It doesnt let you. Sreen is black with letters, but no access to any Steam config.

I already solved, but thnaks for asking. I'll make a guide to help other people

glad you got it sorted. I don't do beta testing nowadays and never did using the main app/game, just incase I get locked out.

try right click steam on the taskbar and enter "Big Picture mode", then you can go back to the non beta client
