I'm sorry that ppl think its a game devs job to solve your security issue, it's not

You can find several game that today need folder access in windows document folder then game devs use that location, i have also see some game also need antivirus app exception rules added to allow steam use a game as thirdpart app and even games own .exe and its configuration.exe some games has own app,

So yes security is a beast that can cause user issue with it, even games that work fine 2 decads ago, but today they have security issue with it, so you see the problem here, how can that be a game devs issue or steam that a security app now block it.

I and others has learn this years ago, also why noone can help you if you will not test or check if this is the case, and i have seen post with user said he will never turn off or make rules.

So this might be news to you, old PC games will say not a new thing at all. ( this is one of them greay zone many IT user hate, and how bad things have been told to use, any app or game or executable files can do this.

And thats why steam has Forum so you can get others input on topic.
also raise a issue with alot of steam user think this is a game forum problem or game support or steam then its NOT. ( and who said that game forum is active i have seen game i just bought and noone has made a post over years. ) so wite in them game forum might not help at all.

Even lets agree with all relevant info should be at each game own forum, but old games do not work like that then other user do not play or follow game own forum.

other in the past have made guides with security app, problem here is to many diffrent user with security app installed, also why most use a genral talk about it.

yeah, Also why gamers should post deal with your secrutiy app issue, its short and to the point, but sametime look rude, then its not.

Steam user a so call interference issue, i knwo they ment wwll with the statement but its not a interference issue if own security app block it, make exception rules.

To many diffrent apps has been made though time, also why most guide is a problem to make.

also why you complin over cant save or load it

and as i read it "cant save settings" thats is a blocking issue , most have work once in time, when game devs test this.

Dont forget there is ppl here with 40+ years of experience as gamer, so we know why settings get reset, either it cant save them or configuration get reset with setiings past game original own allowed settings , some games from the past might not like go past a resolution or other old settings like lights on settings. ( its a long time ago i have seen settings turn on then newer cards dont like them.
