Hey everyone,

I’ve been running into a persistent issue with my main Steam account — the friends list and chat panel on the right side of the client refuse to open. Whenever I receive a message, I can see the notification pop up at the top, but clicking it does absolutely nothing.

Here’s a list of the troubleshooting steps I’ve tried so far:

* Logged out and back in

* Completely reinstalled Steam

* Enabled Steam Beta updates

* Switched my Steam profile from private to public

* Cleared the download cache (Clean Download Cache)

Despite all that, the problem still persists. What’s strange is that if I log into a different Steam account on the same PC, everything works perfectly — friends list, chat, and notifications all function normally.

Has anyone else encountered this issue or found a reliable fix? Any help would be appreciated.
