Trying to install game(s) from Steam Deck on new PC.
Like the title states, I am trying to install some games that are currently on my Steam Deck onto my new PC. I select the game from the Steam launcher on my PC and choose install. It is downloading the game instead of transferring it from the deck. I did verify that the PC launcher does detect my deck because it will allow me to stream the game from my deck.

Is there something I am missing?

First, is the option enabled to begin with?

Yes. "Game Transfer over local network" is enabled on both devices.

Is the Deck plugged in and are you in desktop mode?

This. As far as i remember from previous threads about the topic the network transfer of installed files only works if the Steam Deck is set to Desktop mode.

That is mentioned in the faq. The plugged in part is not.

It doesnt have to be in desktop mode. That used to be true but isn't anymore. Jsut last week, I've transferred 2 games to my gaming battlestation from my Deck.

It doesn't need to be in desktop mode, but it does appear that it needs to be plugged in. As soon as I plugged it in, it started to transfer. I did not put it into desktop mode.
