Someone got scammed and then accidentaly identified the hacker as me by mistake
they just realised their mistake and messaged me to tell me about it and they sent an image that shows that apparently my account is at risk of being banned but i dont know how to get in touch with anyone at steam or something in order to clear up the error

They are trying to scam you.

Scam: I Have Been Reported and Will Be Banned

Report and block the person that contacted you and move on.

That doesn't mean anything.

Scammers often use hijacked accounts with hundreds of games and badges - it's still a scam.
Account is probably compromised. Would someone please explain? Too much drama in my life right now.

Anything that they can scare out of you. Confidence scams start with a hook to get your interest. Most nowadays are scare tactics, usually a mistaken identity and they say it's up to you to correct it. You think you are doing them a favor in helping to correct the issue but you end up losing things, be it your Steam inventory, your account, actual cash, or all of the above.

This happens in real life, too, so it's important to recognize the pattern. If everything were true, I am wanted by the IRS, the FBI, the DOT, even the library has issued an arrest warrant for overdue fines. Oh, and the US Postal Service can never find my address and need me to pay a service fee to correct it on a package that I'm waiting for.

Fun times we live in.
its a scam method yes
