Steam overlay lag

whenever i open steam overlay and access to the workshop in there its just really laggy, it never happened before, ex: when i play l4d2 i open the workshop while ingame and its just have really low latency. anybody had this problem before? if u do, how did u fix it?

Have you read other post with GPU accelration in browser view to be turn off, rest is seen as steam glitch and other things like that.

Steam own guide section, problem is no steam user has ever said yeah my pc was to busy.
as fare as i know here.

Overlay Freezes or Becomes Unresponsive
Because the overlay is a supplemental component of the game you are playing, it will be automatically closed should your system's resources come under heavy load.

You'll want to make sure that your system is in a good state by updating all major drivers, limiting the amount of programs running during gameplay, as well as updating your operating system to its latest version.
