Unlink accounts I no longer have access to.
I have my steam linked to activision to an account that that I no longer have access to. Well, I can access the account, but when I try to unlink on their website they want to verify through email. I no longer have access to the email. So I filed a support ticket (after about 30mins of figuring out how to get past the support links to an actual request, Problem is I don't have access to the email so they will not be able to contact me. Is there a way in steam to unlink my accounts? I would think so if you can link you should be able to unlink.

Linking is done on activision side so it can only be unlinked on their side. Valve has no info about the link and cannot remove it.
You can unlink, from the account you linked from. The activision account. It's easy to imagine it's a two way street, but it's not. Besides why would Valve let you unlink an account you don't have full control of? Why would Activision let Valve make changes to their accounts?

In short your imagination only sounds good because it doesn't require you to deal with the realities, rules and requirements.

Work on regaining control of your activision account. That's your best option, even if it's not what you want to do.

Note that "I can't prove I own the account" is the same as "Let me hijack any account I want with minimal proof".

Any third-party linking is just that, you can't unlink your Steam account without access to the third-party account.

Also in most cases you would lose access to any games where your Steam account was linked to, so any third-party won't simply do that because you are a stranger having lost access to the third-party account.

Anyone could claim account ownership without viable proof.

In short, get your third-party account back and you won't have to unlink your Steam account.
