Need help with refund.
Hi, everyone!
So, I bought a gift card for a friend of mine, but ended up cancelling the purchase. Yet, my bank still insists on charging me for the cancelled purchase. I tried visualizing the reciept for my purchase, but Steam can't load it, it always sends me to a "error" page, and never loads my recepit.
I sent screenshots of the cancelled purchases to my bank, and they didn't accept it. Is there any way I can prove them that my purchase was failed?
Thanks for the help, in advance!

Does it say "pending charge" or anything like that? If yes, it will be cancelled automatically within 7-14 working days.
Look in your account details View purchase details. You should see all your transactions.

How did you cancel the purchase exactly?

If the purchase did fail for any reason on Steam's side of things, then you probably just need to be patient. Your bank would still have your money, it's being held until they're certain the transaction succeeded or failed.

This sort of thing comes up a lot, I think because so many things are instantaneous and banking stuff often isn't, even when it appears instantaneous from your perspective it's usually not. And the customer support staff you're dealing with probably don't have the tools or powers to short circuit bank processes and speed them up. So you just need to be patient, there's probably not much to do but wait.

It does, actually. Is that so? Thanks for letting me know, it's been getting on my nerves!

Okay, okay. I'm thinking of waiting too, i already talked to my bank twice about the cancelation and they still refused, but as another comment said, it'll probably be canceled withing 7-14 days. Still, I'm very anxious.
