losing gb after installing steams on to c drive and external d drive
hi, so i had installed steam and steam games on my c drive and after that i noticed i was losing gb , i then uninstalled from the c drive and began installing them onto my external d drive i think i am losing gb after installing a game on the d drive. i noticed now after uninstalling steam and steam games from c drive that i gained gb and the lost some. on my older computer i got around this issue by installing the steam games onto the d drive that was in that computer i think it said it was partioned, that stopped the lost of gb after installation was finished. how do i stop my c drive from losing and gaining gb and how do i stop my external d drive from losing gb after installing a game

No matter where you put it games and steam just likke all other app will take storage space.

ps.

You might forget here SSD and some games require SSD and other heavy loading zone change games run better at SSD then a old spin drives.

Just because steam is installed there, don't mean you can't make a steam libray at other drives or media, depend on each game required transfer speed.

ATM. it's a nightmare, because games like Diablo4 and other games has its information in addition about it, and where fallout4 can run at spin disk, not recommended SSD load ingame so much faster. ( again we have no clue here what speed external drive is here, we are not support or mindreader here. )
