New Steam Client install - cannot point to existing library
Hi, I reinstalled the steam client on my desktop and want to point it to my existing steam library. Both are on the F: drive now. I first tried to point it to the "common" folder F:/Streamlibrary/steamapps r that already existed via Storage in Settings but that did not work. Then I installed another game from the library to make sure the path is right and then copied the "old" files from the existing "common" folder but they are still not showing under Storage (only the newly installed game). What am I doing wrong here/need to do so I don;t have to reinstall them? TIA!

Select F:/Streamlibrary/

Don't select anything lower within it.

From the popup choose Add Drive, then an additional location...
Then you can choose exactly the directory that already exists.
