Issues with Windows Defender Firewall (?) / Steam
I've had my firewall turned off when playing Steam games since turning Defender on doesn't allow me to play. I noticed my friends have it on with no issue, so I've tried the following.

- Adding the usual TDP/UDP Port Inbound & Outbound Windows Defender Firewall exemptions, this did not work.
- Adding Steam.exe / game.exe to firewall, this did not work. - It worked temporarily when adding the game .exe, but to be honest not entirely sure as this was the same time as I added the TCP/UDP port exemptions.

- Turned Control Flow Group off the the game's .exe file, this did work. But I shouldn't have to do this with every game .exe. Figure I could just turn CFG off in general for all but obv I don't know if this is safe.

Any suggestions guys? Thanks for taking the time to read.

*Edit - Fellas I've lied - CFG turning off doesn't allow me to connect. I don't know why this worked last time, and not now.

- I've also turned my firewall now entirely, and still have the same issue. - This didn't occur yesterday.

I only have windows defender windows 10 it works good. Do you also have an AV?
I just added Steam to exceptions.
Open Windows defender at the top left>allow an App or feature through Windows Defender. Place a tick next to everything.
>click on advanced> click on inbound Rules>all your games and your account etc should be listed here now.
