Steamwebhelper not responding.
Tried to hop on steam today to play some games but it didn't open and gave me a "steamwebhelper not responding" error, it gives like 4 options to try and restart steam but no of them work. Is anyone else experiencing this problem and if so is there any fixes for this? i would really like to play some games but cant due to not even being able to open steam. Also i haven't changed anything for everyone's info, i was on the other day totally fine.

Download everything from the beginning, download Steam and the game
lol i wish i could even get to where i could try and open a game. I've already uninstalled and reinstalled steam in the hopes that would fix it but it didn't.
i actually uninstalled and reinstalled steam like 3 times now.
HALP!

Try this:
  1. Right-click the Steam desktop shortcut, select "Properties" and click the "Shortcut" tab.
  2. Add a single space and the text "-tenfoot" to the end of the text in the "Target" box. It should read like the following for the default Steam install location:
    "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steam.exe" -tenfoot
  3. Click "Apply" and close.
  4. Now start Steam with the shortcut. This should start Steam in Big Picture Mode.
  5. Are you able to log in to your account and is Steam functioning as it should?
  6. Try typing Alt-Enter to try to go back to Desktop Mode.
  7. If everything is working then try exiting Steam and then starting Steam without the "-tenfoot" parameter.

Try starting Steam in Windows Safe Mode with Networking. If you can log in then go to Steam --> Settings --> Interface and select "Steam Beta Update" to the right of "Client Beta Participation." Exit Steam and then restart Windows and then start Steam.
I have a ticket opened and they had me change the name of my shortcut similar to what you had me do with -tenfoot but instead i did "-setbeta publicbeta" which essentially set it to beta and it gave me an update but it still didnt work. i just sent them some dump files so hopefully we can get it figured out, if not i will try the windows safe mode because that isnt something i have tried yet.

The "-setbeta publicbeta" parameter actually accomplishes the same end goal that my suggestion was attempting to steer you towards, namely to start the Beta version of Steam. But the problem apparently persists even with the Beta version. With Windows Safe Mode, even if Steam is able to start, you will not be able to play games. So unfortunately, my suggestion is likely to be unhelpful. Instead and in the mean time I would suggest making sure Windows components aren't corrupted:
  1. Start either Command Prompt or Windows PowerShell as Administrator.
  2. Type:
    DISM /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth
    SFC /scannow
Please continue updating this post so that others may benefit from it and hopefully Steam Support will fix this problem.
Yeah ill open Command Prompt now and run DISM. Thanks for trying i appreciate it lol.
So there was no integrity violations from running scan. I will update this thread with further steps taken and hopefully i can get it solved sooner rather then later.
