How To Return Old Search UI???
Here's an opinion: the search UI is NOT a place for banners, ads, and anything else besides the search results.

Especially when those banners display games that I don't give a duck about and won't buy. Heck, I won't even open their pages. I can't even remember the last time Steam's Featured & Recommended and Popular Searches showed me anything that I'd be even remotely interested in.

What is the result of this Search window update for me? Massive, hippo-ass-sized frustration.
DO NOT WANT!!!

So, dear Steam team, how do I return the Search UI to being a search UI, not this useless and irritating We-Have-Stuff-You-Don't-Want-But-Check-It-Out-Anyway extravaganza? In other words, how do I turn off those Popular Searches, Top Genres, Most Wanted By Anyone By You, and other sections different from search in the Search?

Go to Catagories > View all genres & themes. The old UI still exists kinda as the "Site Map".
Thanks.
However, it appears that Search there is the same all-rainbow banner hive as everywhere else. I'm probably missing something. Is there anything I should click in the Site Map as well?

I use the old search.

Go to the store page, look for the search bar, don't enter in anything and just click the magnifying glass.

Thank you!
You saved my butt from constant blasting.

I've just checked. I've entered a search term, pressed Enter and the search results look literally like they did before. Nothing ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ changed. I guess, pressing Enter is considered a stroke of genuis nowadays.

If that is what one ordered, on a website however it is assumed things can change.

I think in this instance, the complaint is justified. I've ignored the publisher EA, and I see their games. There's a 0% chance I buy their game. Why is steam showing me ads for their game? Wouldn't it be better to show me games I'm likely to buy? Doesn't it make sense to take customers' preference(s) into consideration before showing ads?
