EA is big problem
You cannot sign in to activate the game because you are already signed in. A grey box that you can’t type anything into, which just spins as a barricade when the game starts. Why doesn’t Steam already get rid of all EA’s functions and require them to actually work... otherwise you can’t play anything on PC.

Ask game dev why it`s Steam UI cant accept codes

Perhaps the problems you're experiencing aren't universal?

Also Valve doesn't use Steam to dictate how another developer should manage their own games. Deciding Valve should take up that role for your convenience might be a bit short sighted.
