Mods for the steam client itself?
Is there a straightforward way to mod the Steam client itself? A few UI things are irritating me (hidden achievements primarily) and I'd like a way to fix them.

I wouldn't bother, Valve will just change it in the future and you'll be wondering why things stopped working. I find myself losing interest in Steam every update. Seems the more they fix things, the less useful it becomes...

Even if there was, the mod would break each time Valve updated the client. This means the mod creator would have to constantly keep it updated.
