Yea, many games require those runtime libraries to run. Also, certain games may require certain years.

Any time a game "needed" these special installs they were found in the game's directory or possibly deeper in a 'dist' directory. I think you can trust techpowerup, but you already have the files in you game's folder, somewhere...

hmm maybe thats part of the issue then if part of the files are in games sub folder somewhere, what i uninstalled was the program.. thing.
