Steam Wallet Restrictions After Activating a Gift Card
Hey guys, I need some help with a Steam wallet hold. My friend gave me a $5 Steam gift card. I redeemed it and bought a game right away. Now I see there's a trade and market hold on my account, so I can't send gifts or use the market.

I understand it's probably a :steamsad:security thing, but it's a bit annoying. One weird detail: the $5 wallet spending limit bar is at zero and didn't change at all after my purchase. Has anyone dealt with this before?:steamsad:

Gifted funds wont un-limit your account, if that's what your asking.

You need to either add wallet funds via an external method of payment such as credit/debit card.
Or
Buy an game using external funds such as credit/debit card.
