my sister in law got tricked into giving up her steam details
her account is 90bluerose. She was tricked by a steam user who told her she had illegal games on her profile. She was then told to reach out to someone on discord who further convinced her to send screen shots of her profile. I'm not sure of the exact details but it ended with the discord user changing the email and password on her account. I've searched google trying to find where she can reclaim her account and I'm not finding anything. Is she totally screwed or is there anyway steam can see her IP address is the same as the one thats been used on her account up to the day it got stolen and give her her account back? Idk if there's anything else she can do except accept she lost all her games, if anyone has a solution, please help! thank you.

Just for future reference steam support will never talk to you via steam chat or discord.

thank you very much, she's been in the pits all weekend. I think this will cheer her up!

She can contact steam support on steam they help in most times
