Ark Survival Evoled running poorly
I wanted to get back into the game to complete a solo run. Before I even get around to playing, the main menu feels extremely slugish, opening up the settings in the main menu is enough for it to crash. It's never been like this ever and I know it's most likely not a problem with my computer (seeing as I've played before without any problems). Anyone else having the same problem or know anyway to fix it? I've tried verifying files, downloaded on Epic Games and yet I'm still met with the same thing.

Any help or insight would be appreciated :steamhappy:

Many players are experiencing the same issue after recent updates. Even high-end systems are struggling with extreme lag and crashes in the main menu. It’s likely caused by optimization problems or compatibility issues with the latest version, especially on Epic Games. Updating your graphics drivers and adjusting settings manually through configuration files might help, but if the menu crashes before you can change anything, it’s best to wait for a patch or check community forums for temporary workarounds.
Are they aware that this is causing trouble for players and would you know when they might next address and fix the issue? Thank you for clarifying, good to know it isn't just me.
Ask in the Ark Survival forums.

That response is from a bot, you won't get a proper answer. If you want proper help, either post in the forum for that game or contact the game developer.
Oh sorry, this is my first time using fourms so I wasn't sure how to.

You may want to go into the preaquatica ASE : Pre-Aquatica branch from the Beta settings for the game.

As Aquatica has introduced fastillions of issues.

Test it out and see if things improved.

The way people tend to complain about everything, I'm sure they know. Software development isn't perfect, sometimes code runs fine, until regular users start using it. Sometimes fixes take time, not all bugs are easy to find or resolve. It sucks, but patience is a virtue for a reason.
