Is there a online database that can track which GFWL copies include a Steam key?
I've found a sealed GFWL copy of a game I've been hunting for, and am unsure whether an activation code is included. No mention of Steam is featured.

I know that some titles – like TLOTR: War in the North, for example – come with a Steam key in the manual, but not all GFWL games follow this. Is my best hope to check the packaging for any Steam labels?

No, there is no one online database for GFWL keys. You just have to check the box for a Steam logo, and even if it's not there, a key might still be inside. Some games with GFWL always came with a Steam key, but you have to check your specific game.

none because there is no game with gfwl that includes steamkey.

Look up War in the North GFWL listings. The back says the product activation is on Steam, and that the user must agree to the Steam Subscriber Agreement. Dark Souls: PTDE is another instance.
