Help Regarding Steam API key

Hey guys i needed help with getting steam api key, when i try to get the api key, it says that i am not eligible, but my account is more than 5 years old and also i have spent more than 5 dollar on games, but still it says i am not eligible, can you guys help me? My steam username is rishavsanjan.

Steam requires a public profile to issue an API key. Even if your account is old and has purchases, you won’t be eligible if your profile is set to private or friends only. Go to your Steam profile settings and make your profile and game details public, then try requesting the API key again.

What do you even need it for?

If a website is asking for your API key, it's 100% scam.

Edit your post, don't show your user name, it can be hacked.
