Leaders, do you want age ID to identify adults to buy M+ or 17+ games?
Honestly, most kids lied about their ages just to buy 17+ games and I really admire if you can get their ID if they are 18 and over. And a lot of us (adults) are getting quite fed up with the kids playing mature games on online multiplayer and some parents or older siblings didn't care how dangerous mature games are for children under the age of 18.

Now, I don't hate kids. But I think it will be possible if their ID should be shown before they buy the game.

They need their name, their number, and their birth so when they type it in. Steam haves to identify if it's true, or not true if they are able to buy the game or not.

And guys please do not bash my thread. I suggest changes to keep children safe, and away from trouble immediately before something goes wrong. If you don't like children playing blood and gore games or games that has excessive bad languages then they shouldn't be playing it.

Agreed?

No. Parents should parent, and adults shouldn't be forced to dox themselves just to play a video game.

Laws that force this kind of age verification? It was never about the children. That's just the excuse they use because they want to monitor adults, and anyone who argues against it they can accuse them of not caring about the kids.

It's not about the kids. Never was.
You do realize this is a necroed thread?

Someone should lock the thread to save Haruspex from getting further confused.

Why did you necro 10 year old discussion? Also problem wouldn't change, the guardian/parent are the ones BUYING their games in the 1st place, where you think the kids are getting the money from?
This thread was quite old before the recent post, so we're locking it to prevent confusion.
