Xbox elite series 2 turns off after a few seconds if steam is open

Hello, my controller will not stay connected if steam was running when the controller goes to sleep. it will power on for a few seconds and then turn off. closing steam and powering on the controller will fix the issue. Battery is good and the controller is almost brand new. I am also using the dongle and not pc Bluetooth.

Assuming you're on Windows, do you have Steam's Xbox driver installed?
(Steam > Settings > Controller > Xbox Extended Feature Support Driver)
If yes, see if things are different with it uninstalled.

I'm gonna see if I experience similar with my Series S|X controller and the dongle.

Might end up being something you'd want to report to the Steam Input devs.

help every time I launch the game Skyrim special edition my controller turns off....
