Xbox controller causing games to drop frames
So I just beat Sekiro, and god it took me a while to do so, but as I was fighting the final boss, my Xbox Elite Series 2 controller did this thing where it just randomly decides to lag the game, and this ended up getting me killed when I was on his final phase. This has been happening to me for a while now, in every game I play whenever I decide to use the controller.

However, this only happens when it's wireless. If I'm having this issue, I'll plug it in, and BAM, it's immediately back to normal. 60 fps, no issues.

Why is this happening? It's been going on for ages, and I've looked it up but search results just give me "input lag", which is not at all what I am experiencing. Any ideas?

I have Just recently started getting a similar issue. Noticed it first 2 days ago playing STALKER 2, but now I notice it in every game I use a controller for. If I use Mouse/Keyboard, I get my full fps, but if I use my plugged in GameSir Xbox Controller then I get stutters going from 20, 26, 27, 54, 47, 41 fps. I also notice when this begins to happen - my audio becomes choppy. Restarting my PC for awhile will fix it - but only for about 10 minutes then it comes back in full force.

I've reinstalled my controller drivers, video drivers, audio drivers, tried disabling afew suggested devices in the device manager. Nothing has helped me yet and I keep searching and trying more devices to disable to fix it. No luck. And this is a new issue, nothing of my hardware has changed in months, and I'm on W10.
