Thread locked by valve employe because it was old(2021) and someone made a post now
The valve employe justified the lock, that the thread was confusing when someone make a post to an old thread. What to do? Delete our posts if time passes? The theme of the thread is still valid. Why someone lock my thread without serious reason? If it is causing any problem i would at least the chance to delete that post and maybe make a same, brand new, not confusing. Unlock the thread.

New mods just always lock any necro'd thread. Not much you can do about it. It doesn't matter how relevant the recent posts are or if the thread itself is still relevant, they will just lock it.

You can try to contact Steam support and ask if they will delete it for you. That's the only way to get rid of posts or threads which are locked.

There is no problem with the thread, though. well, other than that someone necro'd it and the paid mods close any necro'd thread.

Honestly, there is no reason to ask for a deletion. The thread does nothing wrong and now it is closed it will simply fade away.

In a month if this thread is still unlocked, but someone posts an actual non-confusing answer here they'll still lock it due to confusion(which will all be on their end).

To be fair, the mods aren't looking for old threads to lock. So if a thread is being locked for being old, it's because at least one user reported it as such.

I still don't agree that they should ALWAYS be locked, but the mods aren't solely to blame.

i just had a dumb mod lock my one year old topic they thought people where confused over the topic too theyre a complete idiot thinking people where confused its hilarious the mod isnt too smart in my eyes valve mods are just weird and kinda dumb in my eyes locking a topic thats a year old and thinking people where confused when they werent
