switch between 2 accounts offline
So short version of this is, i''m about to lose net for a bit and i wanna be able to play my friends games while offline. Is there a way i would be able to switch between his account and mine while offline? currently we have family share but when i go offline and try to switch to his account it gives me the error of "having trouble connection to steam servers" but i can log into my account offline with no issues

You are not allowed to login to your friends account. That is against the Steam TOS.
Also it would not work anyway, Steam can only save one login credentials for offline mode, the last one used.
So the other account needs to connect to the internet to go into offline mode.

They should make Steam able to remember multiple users so we can switch between accounts in offline mode.

I for example live in the place where we lose internet connection at least 2-3 times per month.
Sometimes it comes back after few hours, sometimes it can take up to 2 days.
And because my brother and I use the same PC, the last of us who was logged in will have to be logged in until internet comes back.

And most of the times we lose internet while I'm at work and brother is home playing games. So he's usually the last one logged in.
When I come home from work and want to play some games, I can't because I can't log in to my account.
is this still an issue? i just want to make sure.
This thread was quite old before the recent post, so we're locking it to prevent confusion.
