Fix: Steam library making you Install already installed games.

I ran into a bug where I had just been playing Lost Ark, but I lost internet and I force closed it. I believe this lead to a bug happening for the Steam Library. Any game associated with my hard drive showed it needed installed, yet my SSD games were playable still. Besides a few games needing an update, all the games should have already been installed. No one seemed to know the answer.

I started pressing random tabs when I found the solution! (steps below)

Simply click the "Steam" tab in the top left corner.

Click "Settings".

Click "Downloads".

Click "Steam Library Folders".

You should be able to press the plus sign next to your other hard drive or SSD, If you have both or more than one.

Select the Drive from the drop down menu that is missing all the games and press "select".

All of the games that needed "installed" should now say "Play".

I attempted to find a fix from steam but couldn't find this page. Pretty much what I put but your link is the only way I found how to get there.

Today I faced the same problem. It was very annoying. I stopped the download and choose uninstall from the menu. Then I connected my external drive which contains the game. I opened Steam>Settings>storage tab. Then I removed the storage (my external drive with a letter) and added again. The game came back.
