My Steam API key keeps getting changed, however, I have no clue why
I am not logged into any sketchy sites, also, I have changed my passcode, revoked the api address, and deauthorized all other devices, and the domain name is localhost. What do I do, and is my account safe. For clarification, I have to revoke the api address many times a day, and it keeps being filled back up.

DO NOT TRADE
If you have access to the account

Steps to take NOW:
1. Scan for malware https://www.malwarebytes.com/
2. Deauthorize all other devices https://store.steampowered.com/twofactor/manage
3. Change passwords from a clean computer
4. Generate new backup codes for your Mobile App https://store.steampowered.com/twofactor/manage
5. Revoke the API key https://gtm.steamproxy.vip/dev/apikey (there should be nothing in the APIKEY)

all 3rd party sites are USE AT OWN RISK (that includes the one you are advertising in your name).

your name will be getting changed soon, either by you or by support. advertising 3rd party sites using the name/avatar is no longer tolerated. each time support has to step in, the account gets a cooldown that gets longer and longer till you can no longer change the name/avatar. better for you to change it before support does

You literally have a scam website in your name, and you are in the csmoney and swapgg groups.

Why is it a scam site? it has like 5k trustpilot reviews, and csmoney, and swap.gg are also trusted

Sigh

If those are the sites you have shared your login details with and your account is compromised, one of them is the reason.

Don't defend them, it's just sad.

they are all scam.

take a look at the forums here how many people have lost their items / accounts cause of them.

and your api keeps getting changed and you wonder why. like seriously.

the people complaining...

trust pilot reviews mean absolutely nothing, they can be easily done with bots.

and well, then keep using scam sites and wondering why your account is compromised, i mean they are your items, not mine.

just remember the warnings that pop up when you are using those sites. "You are gifting your items and expect nothing in return". that warning is there for a reason, and it is very clear that you should only expect nothing for the items you are giving away.

Embarrassing statement. You shouldn't even have an API key generated so you have probably been hijacked all this time. It's easy to bot fake reviews but all these you have been using are phishing sites hence why your details keep changing daily. What's the point of doing all the steps if you're going to give away your credentials to these scam sites straight after?

My brain hurts when someone
1) is actively being hijacked
2) denies being hijacked
3) denies a scam site is a scam
4) denies logging into shady websites

Like dude you are literally being hijacked. So whatever you 'think' about the above is 100% wrong and you should re-evaluate that.

Found out the problem

Turns out that my brother who sometimes uses the same account was using the api for something unrelated. He was very confused as I was, as every time he kept putting in a new api it kept getting revoked, and there was just a lack of communication between us. Also idk why people were going on about how I had logged into scam sites, and that my account was being hijacked without knowing literally anything about the situation, but sure, my account is completely safe and secure.

your brother should not be using nor have any access to your account. read the SSA, you are responsible for everything that happens on the account. you are responsible for the security of the account log in, you are not allowed to share the log in with anyone regardless of their relation to you.

again, he should not have any access to it. it does not matter if he is your brother. we have seen enough drama from people giving someone access to their account, this includes bans, inventory items being taken, etc. its your account, if the account is used to break any rules, the account gets the punishment for it.

do not come back saying you were not warned about this should anything happen. you are the one failing at keeping your account secured properly. and this kind of failure has costed others $1000's+.

Don't say we didn't warn you when your next thread is on the D4 Of Misfortune

1) Why am I VAC/game banned
2) why is my account hijacked
3) where are all my items
4) Why is my account suspended
