In Steam itself, normal users can't.

Why do you need such info anyways?

i guess it was more of a game server admin thing, but i wanted to see if someone was cheating in a game im playing. i already see 3 different accounts, one with no shown games and another private. another is level 0. all from searching the name alone

There's nothing we can see that will let us say two or more accounts are owned by the same person, unless they themselves explicitly state so on their own profile.

Just by name alone: https://gtm.steamproxy.vip/search/users/#text=omni-man

See the problem?

to you the digits are random, to the people who own the accounts, they may be random or mean something. names are not unique to anyone on steam.

does it give you reason to suspect they are the same person, yes. is it proof, no

Not sure if it's really what you're looking for as it doesn't show you previously banned accounts but you can use http://steamrep.com. You could then look through the accounts friends and see if you can find the original account you're looking for.

When you say about how some people do it they are usually admins on specific games where they are not getting that information from steam but are instead getting it from a third party such as Easy Anti Cheat which does it by identifying the hardware ID of the computer being used.

There could be another way which idk of but as far as I know steam does not disclose this infomation.

I know this post is old but this happened to a friend of mine. He was playing on his smurf account and some random enemy said: Wow you have 5000 hours in CS. He did have 5000 hours on his main account, but he didn't have his main account on his friends list, so how exactly did that person find it?
This thread was quite old before the recent post, so we're locking it to prevent confusion.
