With refunds ..
With refunds people say it is automatic if you played the game 2 hours or less no matter what. Is that correct? I ask because Steam goes on asking some questions where it would seem they might be trying to come up with a reason to not give a person a refund. Anyone ever been refused a refund even though they played the game for 2 hours or less?

You'll get a refund as long as you're within the limits, unless you've requested a large number of refunds recently already.

They ask you why you're requesting a refund so they can forward that information to the publisher.

I only buy good games after doing the proper amount of research.

That is not a helpful answer. Also I had to risk playing it to know whether I'd like it or not. Research was not enough. I do that all the time with any product.

Ok. Glad to hear that. As for asking for boat loads of refunds I don't think I ever asked for one on this account and if I did it was ages ago.

No, the reason for refund is irrelevant for the under 2 hours and 14 days purchase limit. It's automatic, so it would be daft to try and implement such a thing anyway.

As already stated, it's for dev feedback. It might also be a random thing where it asks you, regardless of how many refunds you've made (although I am guessing here as I have only ever refunded once years ago).

In any case, if there were any suspicion on Valve's end they tell you right up front in warning that you've been doing too many refunds recently so you get a heads up to correct your behaviour.
