If your playtime on your profile shows 2 hours, then you should be ok, and be approved for the refund. Just submit a request and see what they say.

Sure, you are welcome. Playtime is counted in tenths of hours, so even with 2.1 hours you still "might" be given a refund. If you are close but over just a bit, they still might grant the request, but if your time is exactly 2.0 hours, then there should not be an issue. Good luck.

2.4 says steam

Well, there is still a small chance, but that actually goes over what the policy allows for. Anything over 2 hours of playtime or 14 days of title ownership and it goes on a case-by-case basis. You can ask, but they might say no.

That's awesome. I am a bit surprised, but they do allow for some leeway if you are over the playtime just a bit, in some cases. Be careful next time, if you decide to refund another game in the future, and don't allow your playtime to go over 2 hours. Thanks for the reply that you got the refund.

I always make sure in the comments that I spend about an hour adjusting settings to get best performance and have gotten a refund with 3 hours b4

Did you also spend 4 years adjusting your keyboard settings before typing this reply? ;)

Anyway, it's two hours. What you're doing in those two hours is irrelevant. You got lucky. You, or anyone who tries this excuse, may not get lucky next time.

Not via the automatic system. You need to put in a manual ticket and then hope you get one. Since you're over the 2 hours, there is no guarantee.

This thread is pretty old, but here is the policy which states :

https://store.steampowered.com/steam_refunds/

There are more details below, but even if you fall outside of the refund rules we’ve described, you can ask for a refund anyway and we’ll take a look.

"Take a look" does not translate into "we will then grant your refund request." If you are over the 2 hours, it means you can ask and they will take a look but may deny the request.

The system is reasonably lenient. I once got a refund at 2.7 hrs on record.

Yes, this is true. From what I have seen in the forums over the years, concerning refunds, they are more strict with the 14 days part, than the 2 hours playtime part.
