Holy s...
After the THQ Humble Bundle that's just sad news.
They were already having pretty bad days. Guess they couldn't avoid going bankrup afterall...

That's unfortunate. I still want to get Metro: Last Light!
schnitzeljaeger 19 Dec, 2012 @ 2:39pm
Well, that was to be expected. The money from the bundle was only a drop in the ocean ;)

Do you guys think the THQ IP's (i.e. Darksiders, Warhammer) will get even cheaper under a new owner or should I grab them during this sale?

Not likely, but it depends how the dissolution of the company and its assets are handled. Prices could go up, stay the same, or go down. There's even a possibility retailers will no longer be able to sell the products period.

Why? The same reason why every big company goes down. Mismanagement.

Wow!

That makes me sad, They have been making good games since the PS1 era...

I bet Activision will buy em out...
Varcarus™ 19 Dec, 2012 @ 3:24pm
Oh crud! I hope "Red Faction" stays on steam, I want to buy this come the Sales...
Nacon 19 Dec, 2012 @ 3:30pm
All of their games will stay on Steam as far I'm aware.
Varcarus™ 19 Dec, 2012 @ 3:33pm
Let's just hope :)

Unfortunately, we don't know the split between them and charity. All I know is I donated all to the developers and paid way more than the average. I'm sure a lot of people donate all to charity, which is the same as forcing the developers to support those games for free.

Yeah, we don't know that (I did the default split when i purchased the bundle) But it's sad seeing that bundle become THQ's Swan Song.

They're not closing down, they're trying to shake off some debt before being bought by someone else.
