Lol, but somewhere i agree, and somewhere i don't lol xD I really like the charm of a bolt action, and muskets, however it would be a pretty boring FPS if you had to walk in a line, spend 1 minute on loading a musket, firing one bullet, get shot by the opposite site, i mean pretty boring FPS game xD Somewhere i like the automatic charm ^^ and tanks, helicopters, APC, all those things xD

So, do you have a solution to the perceived problem? Do you want to make modern shooters fun? Explain what that would mean.
Or perhaps you find non-shooters to be fun (I happen to like a few from both categories).

i blame consoles

some pc ports are a pain, forcing autoaim, skinny fov < 90º
some have few video options, and unbindable keys

Wow, I totally didn't see that. And checking his posts... well I think maybe he fought with an admin in a public chatroom and lost. I don't see anything horrible in the 4 messages he left ever. That banned indicator should perhaps be more obvious though. Different size, etc.

Natural Selection 2 is a nice game just released, but unfortunately it seems to me, as a fan who also played NS1, that it is little known. It was recently nominated as Best shooter of 2012 by PCGamer.

It's multiplayer only, and has two teams, marines(shooter) and aliens(melee mostly). Alien targets are very fast and it's all about skill and teamplay.

The story about the banning is this: I post about a problem with steam client. Mod named TrippleD locks thread and bans me when I complain about it.

That's right: post about steam client bugs (it was a huge bug: couldn't right click on the application at all without it crashing) and GET BANNED.

Anyways, I'm finding games like Lead and Gold and Red Orchestra more fun than BF3. I figure BF3's automatic assault rifles are why it's no fun, because everyone is just spraying bullets everywhere.

yeah, mod trippleD is like a cult enforcer. To start off, he's a power-happy volunteer mod. Who in the ♥♥♥♥ acts as a volunteer mod for a multi-million dollar company?

Secondly, yeah, many times I post technical problems about games and I get a bunch of, "it's not Valve's fault," which is irritating to no end.

And they're better because you can't go around spamming your gun. YOu have to stop and aim.
