Download Speed Issue
I am having a download speed problem in steam. My download speed is over 200mbps where steam does not use the whole bandwidth making the download stuck at 500kbps, whereas in other launcher like EA where I tried downloading something random it used my whole bandwidth giving me a faster download where my whole bandwidth is being put into use. I am just wondering what could be the issue why Steam is not using my whole bandwidth.

Usually, that means that EA is connected more directly to your internet service provider than Steam is in your specific area.

The internet is a giant game of telephone, and sometimes that means bad routing. For example, unless something has recently changed, the two biggest ISPs in Australia are only connected in New Zealand, a completely different country.

You're not alone! My download speeds have been tanking for months, consistently. Peaking at 55-59 MB/s but quickly tanks down to 1-3 MB/s.

I use Cat6 STP network cables, with 500/500 down/up speed. I don't have these drastic changes on other platforms and my games are from Steam directly, not through any 3rd party platforms like EA or Ubisoft
