Pretty sure you are only seeing it because the algorithm has detected you are into games with those tags... doesn't that say what a wonderful platform steam is to have such a variety of games for such a niche demographic, you must be thankful.

Personally even though I have all options selected for the mature filter to show I rarely get anything in my feed of the pornagraphic variety. So seriously it is you, not steam.

Hide the apropriate tag(s), problem solved.

This is a setting that you had to enable, but I can agree with you that it’s an intrusive recommendation. Almost like going to an nsfw site and the default is gay content. I don’t think it’d be worth quitting gaming over, but if it is to you, all the best

1. Go to https://store.steampowered.com/account/preferences/
2. Select "Store Preferences" on the right-side menu
3. Uncheck the ones under "Adult Only Sexual Content"

Aaaand it's gone. They're unchecked by default, you may have enabled it at some moment and forgot.
