I want to know the name term...for people like this!
Use for these type people or user who "Comes to any particular game " Discussion sections they constantly involve with every person discussion thread and try to start fight or controversy type things lure them to trap to get engaged and play with words and at last they report the person "harass type things" and get them banned in community & bragging BAN about in their profile or indirectly wrote in victim profile comments section or screenshots. I'm curious what type of human nature or mind is this. Anybody feel free to throw some light in this...let's make steam safe & let's attract steam discussion support system to scan these type of behavior or inspect the bad user activity take action on them not the innocent people. I don't know how many victims are still fall for this. :steamhappy: I hope so steam will do something about this!

Those are called reportable users. Simply report them.

You mean trolls? Trolls have been around since the Internet first came to be.

https://ipredator.co/troll/

Since this is all relatively new to you, here are some guiding principles.
- Don't feed the trolls / Ignore the trolls
- Report the trolls if they cross the line or violate Steam's code of conduct
- Play with the trolls.

Steam isn't going to take actions on users unless they actually violated Steam's policy on online code of conduct.

Report, make your case and accept their decision. That's all you can do.

And, of course, if you call them "trolls" in their trolling threads, they'll report you for being rude.

Basically these type of people "trolls" in steam are:

Engages in exploitation, victimization, coercion, stalking other profiles.
iPredators trolls are driven by deviant fantasies, desires for power, control, retribution, religious fanaticism, political reprisal, psychiatric illness, perceptual distortions, peer acceptance, or personal and financial gain.

They can be any age or gender and are not bound by economic status, race, religion, or national heritage.

Final words:
I hope so steam will get rid these type of people somehow in future! Make steam a safe place. Best wishes steam I hope people will read this in future. learn the human nature and mindset of these type of people how to avoid and stay away from these type people, don't feed them don't engage and yes most important REPORT THEM TO STEAM if they violated steam policy.:pbv_bullet::fh4race: :steamhappy:

you know some of them are literally stopping you from shooting yourself in the foot.
not all of them are there to argue.

for example.. i prefer to tell a developer where to get off..
i should not have to argue with gamers.
fact is since when is the community supposed to be a developers shield?

The behavior you're describing is called Brigading, and while it originally started out as a kind of trolling. It's now largely devolved into a kind of farming. Best advice, report them, ignore them, and encourage others to do the same. Do not give them awards for the behavior.

So you're essentially wishing Steam becomes a totalitarian platform that invades users privacy, conducts 24/7 surveillance, strict and permanent punishments? Like that has never ended badly...

Just so you know, Valve's Steam department only has like 79 employees. There's no way they could supervise the forums to such an extent. That's why there's a report option.

Here's some unsolicited advice, you'll find trolls (or Karens, whatever you want to call them) in every walks of life, it's an inescapable part of life and not only is it useless to worry about it, but it's also a complete waste of time. (Unless someone is stalking you, harassing you, threatening you or trying to scam you), don't take things personally.

This guy's almost dead on right. :winter2019happybulb:

For instance, I a few days ago I just had toi report and that user ultimatelly got banned because he/she publicly admitted that he was going to "stalk me until I got banned" when that user previously said that had reported me twice, which obviously failed because he/she simply didn't stand hearing the cold, hard, facts, had an obvious communicational skills comprehension gap tied with bnot being able to have a civical conversation and/or debate and still were self-entitled enough to think that even when I've provided them (a few times, truth to be told) the Steam's "Rules and Guidelines of Conduct" they kept insisting in keeping that wrongly self-righteous, self-entitlemnet as if they should be immune to the rules that we all must abbide to keep posting upon Steam's forums and enjoying that partial "Freedom of Speech/Expression" that we're entitled to (when following the rules, of course). :baa:

Use the report button on whatever you're reporting. Don't send a ticket to account and billing support about something unrelated to your account.
