I get the feeling that some games, like Counter-Strike 2, have bots that behave just like real players, but are actually complete bots. I'm not sure if they're placed by Valve themselves or if they're controlled by someone else, trying to ruin the gaming experience.

CS2 has had a chat bot issue since last year.

There are a couple groups involved and Valve doesn't care seeing as they are still carrying on right now.

And no, they do not have any relationship with Valve at all.

I remember playing RuneScape, training cooking at the bonfire below the thieves guild(?), and someone would say something like "Tell me your cooking level only if you are a bot that I should report" and immediately a dozen characters would announce their cooking level.

I am going to tell you a story you may or likely shall not know.
So, I am an ex wildlife photographer and had quite a huge following on Quora until two years ago.

Now I am no fool and many countless topics over the years inspired many to contribute.
From knowledge/study to photographs etc.

Of the 'many' subscribers I had around 10-50 would post daily.
You get the gist.

Turned out not only were questions being asked, but answers were being given, by AI .

It became quite obvious and soon enough even fake photographs were posted by the AI.

Disgusted, somewhat angry and frankly annoyed that I hadn't seen sooner, or soon enough anyway.

I quit in disgust and many people expressed that they were sad, ( including some AI ) I ♥♥♥♥ you not. The latter being truly the final nail.

Years I had given Quora and all that I got having expressed my anger over the afore written nonsense.

An AI message ''We're sorry to see you go''.

So my friend you have no hope or resolving a problem that is embedded everywhere. Welcome to the future, thank God I am 61 and entering my Autumn years..
